He married Theodosia Stirling in Drumachose, Derry Co., Ireland, 21 January 1814.⁽⁷⁶⁹⁾ Theodosia is the daughter of John Stirling.

Frederick Mccausland and Theodosia Stirling had the following children:

+ 308 i. Conolly⁹ Mccausland was born 22 January 1815.⁽⁷⁷⁰⁾

309 ii. John Stirling Mccausland was born 23 May 1818.⁽⁷⁷¹⁾ John died 24 December 1844 at 26 years of age.⁽⁷⁷²⁾

310 iii. Abraham Mccausland was born 28 January 1829.⁽⁷⁷³⁾ Abraham died 12 July 1847 at 18 years of age.⁽⁷⁷⁴⁾
