He married Fances Georgina Knox in Co. Down, Ireland, 24 August 1832.⁽¹⁰¹⁴⁾ Fances was born in Ireland about 1805. Fances⁽¹⁰¹⁵⁾ was the daughter of Edmund Knox. Fances died 31 December 1894 in Sandymount, Co. Dublin, Ireland, at 89 years of age.⁽¹⁰¹⁶⁾
