He married Jane Hamilton in Ireland, 1682.⁽³²⁾ Jane was born in Co. Tyrone, Ireland about 1661.⁽³³⁾ Jane⁽³⁴⁾ was the daughter of James Hamilton.

Oliver Mccausland and Jane Hamilton had the following children:

+ 15 ii. Jane Mccausland was born 28 May 1685.⁽³⁶⁾

17 iv. Alexander Mccausland⁽³⁸⁾ was born in Ireland 1 March 1688.⁽³⁹⁾

18 v. James Mccausland⁽⁴⁰⁾ was born 1 May 1690.⁽⁴¹⁾

19 vi. Rebecca Mccausland was born in Co. Tyrone, Ireland 12 October 1692.⁽⁴²⁾ She married _ Newton.

20 vii. Robert Mccausland⁽⁴³⁾ was born in Ireland 1 January 1694.⁽⁴⁴⁾

+ 21 viii. John Mccausland was born 24 July 1695.⁽⁴⁵⁾

22 ix. William Mccausland⁽⁴⁶⁾ was born in Mountfield & Rash, Co. Tyrone, Ireland March 1700.⁽⁴⁷⁾ He married Elizabeth Hamilton. Elizabeth is the daughter of George Hamilton.
