82. Maj-Gen. William Henry⁶ McCAUSLAND (Lt.Gen. John Kennedy⁵, Marcus Langford⁴, Dominick³, Marcus², Col. Robert¹) was born in Simla, India on 11 May 1836.⁽²²⁾ William died on 17 November 1916 at 80 years of age.

He married Mary BRIGGS on 16 August 1861 in Bangalore, India. Married at Trinity Church, Bangalore.

Mary was born on 17 October 1841. Mary died on 2 January 1915 at 73 years of age.

Maj-Gen. William Henry McCAUSLAND and Mary BRIGGS had the following children:

115 i. George Henry⁷ McCAUSLAND was born 18 July 1863. He married Gertrude Close GREEN circa 1880.⁽²³⁾

116 ii. Emma Louise K. McCAUSLAND was born on 10 August 1864. Emma died on 4 May 1866 at 1 year of age.

117 iii. John Faithfull McCAUSLAND was born on 7 October 1865. John died on 14 August 1866 at less than one year of age.

118 iv. William Graham McCAUSLAND was born on 15 June 1867. He married Nellie BINGHAM circa 1890.⁽²⁴⁾

119 v. Herbert Kennedy McCAUSLAND was born on 6 May 1869. He married Ada MOXON circa 1890.⁽²⁵⁾

120 vi. Sydney Moir McCAUSLAND was born on 5 December 1870. He married Gladys GRIFFITHS in 1896.⁽²⁶⁾ Gladys died in 1911.⁽²⁷⁾

121 vii. Ada Mary McCAUSLAND was born on 1 May 1872. Ada died on 17 August 1873 at 1 year of age.

122 viii. Ernest McCAUSLAND was born on 3 July 1874. He married May SYMONDS in 1898.⁽²⁸⁾

123 ix. Nora Blanche McCAUSLAND was born on 3 October 1875. Nora died on 10 January 1900 at 24 years of age. She married Charles G. HALLIDAY 1900.⁽²⁹⁾ Charles died in 1906.⁽³⁰⁾
