He married Hannah Louisa ROWE circa 1870. Hannah was born circa 1851 in Indiana.⁽³⁰¹⁾ Hannah died in December 1918 in Plattsmouth, Cass County, NE, at 67 years of age.⁽³⁰²⁾

James worked as a Plumber.
