109. Robert Wilson4 QUINN (Gen John3, Robert S.2, John1 QUIN) was born in Twin Township, Preble County, OH on 28 September 1835.(326) Robert died on 28 December 1910 in Eaton, Preble County, OH, at 75 years of age.(327)

He married twice. He married Josephine Maria PALMER 10 January 1861 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, OH.(328) Josephine was born on 4 November 1840 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, OH.(329) Josephine died on 15 March 1888 in Eaton, Preble County, OH, at 47 years of age of tuberculosis.(330) He married Emma F. BAIRD 3 June 1891 in Eaton, Preble County, OH.(331) Emma was born circa 1850. Emma died in 1916 at 66 years of age.(332)

Robert was an Attorney in Eaton, Preble County, OH. Conflicting evidence states that Robert was born 18 September 1835 in Twin Township, Preble County, OH.(333) The following individuals are also linked to this event: Mary Ann POTTENGER (mother); Gen John QUINN (father). Robert Quinn became a student at Farmer's College in the fall of 1853 and, with the exception of six months spent as a teacher, remained there until July, 1856. He began his law studies under the Hon. William J. Gilmore, of Eaton, later a justice of the supreme court of Ohio. After two years, he entered the law school of Cincinnati College, was graduated in April, 1858, and admitted to the bar in Cincinnati. He practiced for one year with the law firm of Bates & Scarborough in Cincinnati before returning to his father's farm one year before the Civil War. He remained there until the end of the war, except for four months when he served in the 156th Ohio Volunteer Infantry, taking part in the battle of Fulk's Mill near Cumberland, MD.

In April 1867, Robert Quinn established his law practice in Eaton, Ohio. In February he was admitted to practice before the circuit court of the United States at Cincinnati and concentrated almost exclusively on civil law cases.

He was probate judge of Preble County between 9 February 1882 and 1888 and also served, by appointment, a short term as mayor of Eaton. He was a member of the Disciples church and was a Royal Arch Mason. He was a life-long Republican.

Edmond graduated from Princton University in Princeton, Mercer County, NJ June 1889.(338) Edmund Quinn was a lawyer and graduate of Princeton College. In the early 20th century he was serving as an auditing clerk in the United States signal service in the war department at Washington.

child 253 iii. Caroline (Carrie) Bernice QUINN < was born in Eaton, Preble County, OH on 30 April 1872.(339) Caroline died on 30 March 1892 in Eaton, Preble County, OH, at 19 years of age of tuberculosis.(340)
