She married Capt. John PACKARD 1814.⁽¹⁶⁰⁷⁾ John was born on 3 April 1782 in Bridgewater, Plymouth County, MA.⁽¹⁶⁰⁸⁾ John was the son of Capt. Lemuel PACKARD and Sarah HUNT. John is deceased.

Mitchell is inconsistent in his records for Capt John and Silence Packard. In the record for Capt Parmenas he notes that Capt John Packard and Silence Packard were married in 1814. In the record for Capt Lemuel Packard he notes only that they married, but ascribes children John (1806), David and Jonathan (1809), and Lemuel (1814) to them. The Bridgewater birth records ascribe these children only to John without mentioning a wife's name. Considering Silence's birth date (1792), the marriage date seems proper, but the children may belong to a different John Packard.
