31. William⁷ METZENDORF (Anton⁶, Johann Heinrich⁵, Johannes⁴, Jürgen Heinrich³, Johann Heinrich², Wilhelm Nicklas¹) was born in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York in July 1868.⁽³¹⁾ William died in 1945 at 76 years of age.

He married Maryetta BURR about 1898. Maryetta was born in April 1877 in New York. Maryetta is deceased. She was listed on 8 June 1900 in the Federal census in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, as William's wife, age 23.⁽³²⁾

He was listed on 8 June 1880 in the Federal census in Town of New Lots, Kings County, New York, as Anton's son, age 12.⁽³³⁾ On 8 June 1900 the Federal census listed William as head of household in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, age 31, at 122 Norwood Ave.⁽³⁴⁾ In June 1900 William was a Lithographer in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York.⁽³⁵⁾
