He married Catherine EMMERICH about 1858 in Germany. Catherine was born about 1832 in Darmstadt, Hessen, Germany.⁽⁷⁾ Catherine died after 1880. She was listed on 8 June 1880 in the Federal census in Town of New Lots, Kings County, New York, as Anton's wife, age 48.⁽⁸⁾
