Jane4 McCausland was born 16 August 1814.
9. John3 McCausland (William2, James1) was born in Donaghanie, Co. Tyrone, Ireland 4 April 1780. John died 1858 in Webster, Massachusetts, at 78 years of age.
He married Elizabeth Fenton 30 July 1813. Elizabeth was born in Ireland 4 April 1794. Elizabeth died 17 January 1871 in Webster, Massachusetts, at 76 years of age.
Occupation: Linen Draper. Emigrated to US about 1823 and settled on the banks of the lake Chargogga ggoggmachauggogoggagungamaug near Webster Mass. Became citizen in 1834. Ardent Methodist and dedicated at midnight the 1st. M.E. Church in Webster. Assisted in protecting the house of McCausland during the rebellion of 1798. Raised and spun his own flax. Two or 3 small pieces of linen he wove in Ireland are kept as heirlooms by the children of his son Alexander.
