146. Edwin Louis⁶ McCausland (William⁵, William⁴, James³, William², James¹) was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 25 October 1882. Edwin died 16 July 1949 in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania, at 66 years of age. His body was interred 20 July 1949 in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, Pa.

He married twice. He married Helen Earnest Solomon in Grace Ref. Episcopal, Collingdale, Pa, 26 June 1915. Helen was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 5 August 1889.⁽⁹⁰⁾ Helen was the daughter of Henry Richard Solomon and Selena (Lena) Emily Emereitte. Helen died 6 November 1918 in Womens Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa, at 29 years of age. Her body was interred November 1918 in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, Pa.⁽⁹¹⁾ Occupation: Registered Nurse. She was baptized in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 28 March 1899. Religion: religion unknown.⁽⁹²⁾ Died of pneumonia as a complication of the flu. Graduated from Episcopal Hospital Training School of Nursing in 1910, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her baptismal certificate has her birth date 5 Aug 1899. Her baby cup has the date 5 Aug 1893. RESOLUTION At a meeting of the Red Cross Unit of Collingdale, the following resolution on the death of Mrs. E. L. McCausland was adopted: In the sad ending of a short but beautiful self-sacrificing career, the Collingdale Unit of the Red Cross has lost a valuable and conscientious worker, Mrs. E. L. McCausland. It was she who started the surgical dressing classes in this unit and nothing was ever too much trouble, nor time too precious to devote hours to work for the boys 'over there.' Her lovable and sunny disposition made all who worked with her love and respect her, and when the sad news was heard the unit felt that a shining star had gone from its midst to shine above. She will never be forgotten but always missed. This unit extends to her family the deepest love and sympathy in this their hour of sorrow. Signed: Committee.

He married Ethel Lavinia Marker in Clayton, Delaware, 24 July 1920. Ethel was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 4 January 1891.⁽⁹³⁾ Ethel was the daughter of Joseph Jordan Marker and Sallie Lavinia Chance. Ethel died 20 April 1983 in Pennsylvania, at 92 years of age.⁽⁹⁴⁾ Her body was interred 1983 in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, Pa. Occupation: Teacher. Honeymooned in Niagara Falls.

Occupation: Optometrist and Optician. His office was at 9 N. 9th. Street, Darby Pennsylvania. Graduated Optometry University of Toronto, Canada 03/18/1912. 32nd degree Mason in Ivanhoe Lodge. Met Ethyl when he gave her an eye examination on 1 April 1919.
