He married Mary Ann Raymond in Webster, Massachusetts, 2 July 1853. Mary was born in Dudley, Massachusetts 10 January 1833. Mary was the daughter of Orrin Raymond and Betsey Freeman. Mary died January 1889 at 56 years of age. Her body was interred in Webster, Massachusetts.

84 v. Elizabeth Mccausland reference Mc -14 was born in Ashtabula, Ohio 12 May 1862. Elizabeth died 1881 at 19 years of age.⁽⁷⁸⁾
