4. William² CRANNA (Alexander¹) was born in Monquhitter, Aberdeenshire, Scotland on 22 August 1835. William died in 1873 in King Edward, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at 37 years of age.

He married Mary GAUL 17 July1858 in Redford-King Edward, Aberdeen, Scotland.⁽²⁾ Married at Redford, King Edward Parish, County of Aberdeen. Church of Scotland. William Cranna: age 22 of Midtow(?), farm servant, father Alexander Cranna, labourer and mother Mary Campbell Cranna. Mary Gaul: age 21 of Redford, domestic servant, father James Gaul, crofter and Ann Murray Campbell (deceased). Witnesses: James Fordyce and James Massie. William Findlay, minister.

Mary was born in 1837 in Scotland.⁽³⁾ Mary was the daughter of James GAUL and Ann MURRAY. Mary died in 1914 in Turriff, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at 76 years of age.⁽⁴⁾ Died at age 78.

In 1881 the United Kingdom census listed Mary, as head of household in King Edward, Aberdeenshire, Scotland ; resided at Westfield, age 44.

William CRANNA and Mary GAUL had the following children:

12 iii. George CRANNA < was born in King Edward, Aberdeenshire, Scotland on 25 February 1862. George died before 1868 in King Edward, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

13 iv. Alexander CRANNA was born in King Edward, Aberdeenshire, Scotland on 25 April 1863. He was listed in 1881 in the United Kingdom census in King Edward, Aberdeenshire, Scotland at Westfield, age 17.

14 v. Ann CRANNA < was born in King Edward, Aberdeenshire, Scotland on 15 December 1865. Ann died in 1870 in King Edward, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, at 4 years of age.

15 vi. George CRANNA was born in King Edward, Aberdeenshire, Scotland on 3 March 1868. He married Isabella DUGUID 17 Jun 1893 in Greeness, Monquhitter, Scotland. Isabella was born 9 Jul 1858 Bodiechel, Fyvie, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Isabella was the daughter of John DUGUID and Isabella GERRARD. Isabella died 20 Jan 1939 at 80 years of age.

16 vii. Mary CRANNA was born in King Edward, Aberdeenshire, Scotland on 16 August 1870. She was listed in 1881 in the United Kingdom census in King Edward, Aberdeenshire, Scotland at Westfield, age 10.
